Welcome to the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, 1861-1865 Department of Indiana website. We are a federally chartered, genealogical, historical, educational and patriotic organization. We are direct lineal descendants of  Soldiers and Sailors of the U.S. Army, Navy or Marine Corps and Revenue Cutter service who served between April 12, 1861 and April 9, 1865, and of such State regiments as were called into active service and subject to the orders of the United States General Officers, and have been honorably discharged there from after such service, who fought in the defense and preservation of our Nation during the American Civil War. We honor our Veterans through service projects which are of benefit to the public at the local, state and national level.
